What you say is true but the stimulus wasn't a sure thing. Obamacare et al was not a sure thing. But, both of them passed even with a republican majority in the house.

In todays political climate, you cannot rely on the term conservative. Many who call themselves conservative are not. Romney claims to be conservative.

The electorate must study the voting records of all the candidates and support and vote for a “true conservative”.
Unfortunately, that is not being done.

Newt most definitely is not anti-capitalist. His pro-capitalist record goes back many many many years. He has written books, taught classes, given speeches, introduced and passed legislation on behalf of American businesses and worked to create a strong economy, and he has fought for limited governmental interference in this economy. He has been a passionate supply-sider and he is one of capitalism's true heroes. A one time justified criticism of one company, Bains capital, with its predatory practices and corporate raiding does not a communist/anti-capitalist make!

I think you are mistaken. Obamacare was passed by the democrat house (remember Princess Nancy telling us we had to pass the bill to find out what was in it?)

Now I understand how the Whig Party disappeared so quickly. We’re living it again.

>>...Vote Romney. If he had a southern accent and came from SC you’d be all over him...<<

The problem with Romney is his liberal record -vs- the used-car sales-slut campaign speeches. Which is the real Romney? Was he lying back then — when he signed actual liberal legislation into law — or is he lying now?

I’m voting for whoever the (R) candidate runs against Obama in the general. But, if you want to promote Romney and see any success at all, you might want to answer that key question (was he lying then, or is he lying now and how does Romney re-establish trust?).

I stand corrected on that one. But, I think you get my point.

How did the establishment pull it off again?

Well, I don't know, but maybe we should back Ginrich just to keep Mitt's TARP tainted hands off the White House?
