I think that you are wrong. Newt and/or Romney can flame out at any time. If Rick or Newt can stay with the financial demands, they should stay in as long as possible. (I am a Newt supporter, but could support Rick.)

One thing you have incorrect in the list of states portion of this post is that Missouri looks much more like an easy Santorum win, not a Romney win.

What good is a “flame-out” insurance policy that will split the conservative vote and give Romney the nomination? That is a defeatist defensive attitude we can not afford in battle. No it is way past time for conservatives to unite behind a single candidate. If the conservative candidates won’t do it or the conservative voters won’t let them - either way conservatives will have no one to blame but themselves for Romney getting the nod. Can’t blame the RNC or Fox News this time.
