Of course I will be accused of being biased, but Newt Gingrich really did wow the crowd at CPAC today. He began going anti-Establishment, pointing out examples from the past 50 years of GOP politics where the Inside-The-Beltway and Wall Street bunch opposed the principles and ideals of the Conservative grassroots of the Republican Party. He then launched into a concise, focused messaged laying out his plans for restoring the American economy and getting the federal government off the backs of the citizens. An enthusiastic audience cheered many times, giving Newt several standing ovations.

An enthusiastic audience cheered many times, giving Newt several standing ovations.
The speech was great. The reference to FedX, UPS, the Feds and illegals was really funny.
Aw, Katie, you done did it!! Started a great thread. It has been so quiet on him the last couple days, I was getting nervous. After watching his speech, gave me great hope.
Just gave Newt a couple more dollars. Read the rumor that his big funds guy is leaving him. Guess we need to pull this one out on our own.
Go NEWT!!
Unfortunately, only about 0.001% of the American population sees, knows, or cares what happens at CPAC.
He needs to start bringing this out onto the campaign trail and post haste if he hopes to get back to being competitive.
Ngat sort of eased my worried mind with this:
This was a deliberate strategy by Speaker Gingrich to not split the conservataive vote in these three caucus states and thus allow Santorum the three states, in order to blunt the effect of the Romney Florida plurality win.
This again stopped Romney from gaining any momentum, just like the Gingrich South Carolina primary win that actually gained Gingrich a passel of delagates. It also allowed the Gingrich campaign to spend precious time campaigning in delegate rich primary states.
The strategy worked perfectly.

Thanks! believe me this race is far from over. Get ready for one hell of an election battle and don’t count Newt out yet.
Remember that Santorum has really not endured the super pac, media attacks or vetting as Newt and others have...Newt will do excellent in the South.
I sent him more money too. GO NEWT!

Thanks.
The end where he says we should send FEDX or UPS packages to illegals was a good wrap up. The video cut that part off ;-(
I don’t know — saw lots of reports on CPAC on CNN today. They were very focused on it. I watched Newt’s speech today live on on CNN.
Fox, as usual, was reporting on something inane at the time.
“They” understand that Newt “gets it”!
I saw it on TV, and I liked it a LOT! Especially the list of things he plans to do on his first day as President.
FOX News may have 'jumped the shark' over mittens
Fair and balanced is Juan McCain
I for one have had enough of the wisdom of Bill Kristal, Chas. Krauthammer, Ted Baxter, Bret Beahr, Toyko Rove, Ann Colter, Chris Wallace, Sean Wannabe, Dana Parino, Brit Hume, Shep Smith, Judge Jeanene, Alan Comes, Bob Beckle, Juan Williams, Whoraldo, et. al. all acting the part of the Romney cheerleading squad
Does anyone else 'feel my pain'?
Name ONE true conservative on FOX
There is clearly a hunger and a market for honest news and honest conservative news - and it is clearly not FOX
.
Thanks, that does make sense. I worry about all of us if obimbo or rum-dummy were to win. I dwell on any words of hope here. Love this site!
Newt’s speech was music to my ears!
Well as consultants or whatever...Ollie North and Sarah Palin. That is the only two I can think of...Faux is going to the dogs.
.
You are right. They flood us with their elitists that think they can ram their candidates down our throats and we are supposed to follow their lead. They underestimate and insult our intelligence:)
