For heavens’ sake, that is the very point he is trying to make.
The progressives are going after the Catholic Church because it is the biggest. Eventually, they will go after all Christian religions and practicing Jews because organized religion gets in the way of their communist plans.
Their strategy is to slay the biggest guy first, and, then, the others will be easier to take out.
“First they came for the Jews and I did not speak out because I was not a Jew” (from Pastor Martin Niemollen). But I would add, “Then they came for the Catholics and I did not speak out because I was not a Catholic. Then they came for me and there was no one left to speak out for me”. We all must continue to speak out against any assault on our liberties and on our constitution... while we still have a voice.
