A better question is why do we call homosexuals “Gay”?
Wouldn’t they be better described as “angries”?
The word "queer" -- in all its meanings -- seems applicable.
But they seem to welcome that word now.
I could go with "derangedconfusednarcissisticmiserableselfloathingsinners" but it's a little unwieldy...
