That statement implies you haven't been in the job market lately. It's not so easy to land a new job. Instead of a few weeks, it is taking most people several months.

Unemployment is 23%. (shadowstats.com) Do you really think 23% of the people are willingly sitting at home instead of working? There are no jobs. We've shot ourselves in the foot by not preparing for the oil price shock and outsourcing overseas too much of our manufacturing.
