What’s he supposed to say? The “it would be an honor to be considered” line is the standard cliche response from every politician when they’re posed with the VP question.

The fact that his name is even being brought up is an indication that there have been discussions with the Romney camp and the fact that nobody in the Romney camp has made any real effort to deny it is confirmation.

The reality is that Rand Paul has been a senator for less than fourteen months. Prior to this he has zero political experience aside from some Tea Party involvement and he has no executive experience. That Paul's name is being mentioned without firm denials based on his total lack of qualification certainly makes it look like something is up.

An honor to be considered for a job which has been described as a warm vessel of spit-um? A Tea Party participant who would run w/ the antithesis of the Tea Party? Ran must’ve been gettin’ the kool-aid throught a I-V.

14 months as Senator is enough for the top job if you are a half-black Democrat apparently
