Didnt watch the details yet but how would a portion of an image be “moveable”? I can understand if you have an electronic image and you import another image as a section of it, but why wouldn’t you just create another image of the whole thing in which nothing was “moveable” anymore?

In other words, just copy what they created so the final copy is one solid image?

You are spot on! But they didn’t do that. Looking back, the fraudsters are probably kicking themselves over not doing your devious idea.

Some people just don’t think that far ahead.

Recall the George Bush National Guard memos written in proportional font.

I recall hearing of another story years ago in which a document with sensitive information was released, electronically redacted; it turned out the redaction was electronically removable.

The forger is incompetent.

They figured that the public would be bolled over by the fact that this was the "president"

They forgot to close the layers and flatten the final image. The datestamp layer floats above the remaining layers and that screwed the pooch for the kenyan and his fellow fraudsters. See, if you re-import the Adobe pdf in Adobe Illustrator it contains the history of layers and commands, the investigators unlocked the layering fail on the actual datestamp layer. This is a forgery.

They were not very good at it and desperate to get it out quickly.

If you had any sort of skill, that is what you would do. Apparently, the job was so super-secret that only a close intimate was given it, and he/she was unskilled. God is till watching over this country....

Your quetion is good. Why not just scan the document and post the scanned document, unless you wanted it to be researched.

Something is wrong with this.I do not beleive an original exists, but I do beleive a document could be created and aged that would pass as an original.

What will happen to Joe Arpaios if a real copy that could not be proven to be a fake is produced?

Why did it take so long to post this copy?

Were they aging a fake that could pass as an original?

Will they now produce a fake that has been aged that looks just like this copy that can not be proven to be a fake?

If that happens, what is the credibility damage to the cold case posse?

Kill two birds with one stone?

This is not a game of chess with a first grader.

In Adobe you just flatten the layer to create the image. They just posted the wrong version on wh.gov...

Most of us with 10 minutes experience in Adobe knew the BC was a forgery it was obvious.

Just an example of the hubris we are witnessing first-hand.
