Last night I watched "The Pursuit of Happyness". It was an adorable movie about dedication and perseverance to a dream, overcoming the odds to become successful. This dad loses everything and ends up sleeping in a bathroom in a subway station with his five-year-old boy, but they struggle through and end up multi-millionaires.
The story is cute and inspiring, but what really stuck with me about this movie was the mothers story. She hates her life. She is tired of struggling, wondering if they can catch up on the back rent and the IRS payments, working double shifts and trying to be a wife and mother. I can really feel for her frustration, but what I dont understand is what happens next.

Michael Savage had a good monologue on this very topic-
Happiness occurs between the ears and has nothing to do with money. That’s the final clue.
Genuine happiness can only be had by accepting Christ as Savior and doing the Will of God.
The very simple narrative about the movie is spot on: life sucks and you just have to fight thru it. The relationship that should be pointed out in the film and original book was the father and son.
The father (Chris Gardner) always made it a point to pick up his son after school, even after tireless hours of trying to learn the ropes of money management..while wearing the same business suit everyday and trying to get in line at the homeless shelter.
People are weak. They break.
One must have a fierce determination to continue accepting God's love.
Through God, they can get up again. And again. And again. And again...

Interesting theory. As an agnostic it hadn’t occurred to me.
You will certainly be in my prayers. Once you accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and the Lord of your life, you'll find unparalleled, true happiness. Don't get me wrong. Life will still have its challenges and frustrations. But when the Higher Power who's Master and Creator of the Universe becomes a real part of your life, those tribulations and setbacks will make sense.
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. — Philippians 4:13 (King James Version)
May you find the Way, the Truth and the Life! And may God richly Bless You, FRiend.
Y’all sure can be persistent...I come here for the politics.
