He is starting to come across as a smart untrustworthy weasel like Nixon.

Yes, Nixon was somewhat conservative, but he also established federal affirmative action, the EPA, and wage and price controls.

Newt seems like a similar opportunist - anything to stay in office.

Well ... this "is" Free Republic ... where "ideas" supported by "facts" are the Currency of the Realm ...

Please get a dictionary and look up the word “opinion”. I provided my opinion and you responded with a bunch of links to a politician’s speeches.

I don’t need to defend the established facts that led me to an opinion. If you have a different opinion, then state it. If you can contradict my facts, then attempt to do so. Otherwise, you are as much hot air as Newt.

Rick should do for Newt that Newt did for him in the last three states, bow out of Georgia let Newt win BIG, not give Romney any delegates in Georgia.

Rick having his problems in Georgia should help make that decision easy.

Santorum is, at his core, just another Huckabee - a pro-life big govt liberal.

So you haven't seen him refereed to as "Santuckabee" here yet I take it :-)...

He is a spoiler just like the Huckster, who IMHO FUBAR'd the process enough to give us McCain and taking Conservative votes away from Thompson even though he was motivation-ally challenged, he just didn't have the umph for it.

Got into a lot of arguments about Huckabee in 08' and he turned out to be our Jimma Carter right on schedule. The Huckster was a disaster for our party, and those that threw millions at him (including some of the relatives via marriage..) will never admit to their mistake...

Like you, I’m absolutely convinced that Newt Gingrich is the junkyard dog we need to rip Obama a new one and send him running back to his Chicago slime pit with his tail between his legs. Newt has plenty of DC experience as Speaker, executive ability from his many enterprises, and a silver tongue that’s razor sharp! He’s fast on his feet, delivers it straight up with no hemming and hawing, and is often witty. His work with American Solutions was very impressive and as we’ve seen recently, Newt is able to put into words what the vast majority of Americans really believe. His fevered brain also has plenty of ideas for making government work better for taxpayers. Is Newt pure as new driven snow? No - none of the presidential candidates are in line for sainthood. Whatever Newt’s “baggage”, it pales next to Obama’s habitual lying and outright corruption - and unlike Obama, Newt is 100% American! Newt is like Larry the Cable Guy: send him to DC and he’ll “Get ‘er done” for all of us. Newt has “Been there, done that! Junkyard dogs are not show dogs, but they’ll save your bacon!

I am damn mad at what Obama and his bootlickers have stolen from us - you should be too - and I want someone to represent me! Newt Gingrich is that man! Sic ‘im, Newt!
