Just in case, here is Bell’s take on MLK anti war speech:

“He described Vietnam’s Communist leaders, including Ho Chi Minh, as patriots who organized the resistance to French and Japanese colonialism only to be betrayed by the U.S. who sabotaged the Geneva Agreement of 1954. King called on every person of conscience to protest the war.”

Actually, the OSS had that belief. It's pretty close to what actually happened ~ and in light of the fact that the US ended up aiding Chang Kai Shek, the RUSSIAN selection as Communist dictator for Big China, it's actually not far off the mark.

I wish people would study the history of these things before assuming we gave a darn about those people.

We told the French to go ahead and move back into their Eastasian colonies, but please get out of the MidEast. You see how that worked. Arabs have a bad habit of stabbing their benefactors in the back.
