I think that the “Green Energy” initiatives are a way to persuade the ignorant electorate that there ARE alternatives to Oil & Coal, when in fact they aren't even close. This way the government can dismantle the free US economy in favor of the government controlled version. The government economy has a symbiotic relationship with the Democrat Party — a nice ancillary benefit to maintain power.
