Saul Alinsky is alive and well in the political maneuverings of the secular left. The problem is; we all have the play book now.
As most know, Rush Limbaugh has been under fire of late for comments he made about 30 year-old reproductive justice radical Sandra Fluke. Ms. Fluke recently gained national attention while testifying before Congress. There, she demanded that Georgetown Law, a Jesuit University, underwrite her stated fornication practices by paying for her and other students birth control and, ostensibly, abortions. Fornication and abortion, of course, are considered mortal sins in Christianity. Catholic doctrine further bars the church from providing contraception.
Rush said of Fluke: [T]heyre talking about, like this left-wing sl-t, whats her name? Sandra Fluke?
Not really. Actually that bile came from the revolving pie-hole of MSNBCs Ed Schultz in reference to conservative talk radio host Laura Ingraham. Ms. Fluke recently went on Schultzs program to criticize Limbaugh for indirectly suggesting that, in light of her admitted sexually immoral lifestyle, she was a sl-t (an offensive and inappropriate slang for which he has apologized).

Sandra Fluke may very well be asexual, but as an activist, she portrayed herself as a lascivious parasite.
Look; Rush has the money and the resources to investigate Sandra Fluke and dig up all the dirt on her that he can and discredit her as the slut she really is. I guarantee you that the Dems would do this if the shoe was on the other foot.
sort of
actually the Dems let the media do all the work
they did more investigation of Joe the plumber Wurzelbacher in 24 hours than they did on Baraq Obama in 24 months
I mentioned Ms. Fluke and her recent activities and demands to my son, in college. I was somewhat taken aback by his rather curt, direct response.
He said, “Dad any woman who has that much sex is a walking STD.” I thought that was an interesting perspective from a contemporary young man!
Rush got off on the wrong foot with this. If Fluke were just interested in having sex, she'd buy her own birth control and use it. She wouldn't go before a committee and there wouldn't be any point to ridiculing her, since she hadn't hurt any of us.
Fluke was an activist, a cause person, a militant, maybe a fanatic. Ideology -- maybe anger or hatred -- was her motivation, not lust or sexual pleasure. Geez, Rush should have been able to spot that and not gone off like he did.
You are absolutely correct.
And so disappointing because Rush has been pointing out the Dem strategy ever since Steffi Stephanopolus pulled out the contraception question in early January (as directed by Axlegrease).
It’s like the star running back going 80 yards and fumbling on the one yard line.
When did this become all about “students” getting free contraceptives? I thought the issue with the Dems was about employees of churches and other Catholic organizations. Did I miss something? My kids weren’t offered health insurance as college students of their universities. And aren’t most students still eligible for their parent’s plan up until the age of 26? I know she is now 30 years old but she’s still a student and not an employee.
Georgetown is a Jesuit university that offers insurance to their students. The issue is the same. The university does not cover contraception due to religious beliefs. At the same time, the left is mixing in a debate that contraception must be FREE....meaning no deductible...at the same time just to help muddy the waters and make it appear the GOP is taking away women’s rights.
