This is a video about Joseph Kony in Uganda who is kidnapping and killing children.
It is a public relations type video. This is the Lord’s Resistance Army (11:58) which is why Obama sent troops (advisors) to Uganda.
This group” was successful in influencing Obama to make this decision with the help of 20 Culture makers (Hollywood names) and 12 Policy makers such as John Kerry, Clinton, Harry Reid, Romney, Condolesa Rice, George Bush Jr., Boehner, etc. (23:10-24:48) and are listed on their website.

“Our goal is to change the conversation of our culture (25:28) and ask who is Joseph Kony.”
They have kits to track the impact of the donations.

They talk about covering the night on April 20th meet at sundown as a movement to plaster posters everywhere and that everything will be upside down.

They claim that “the people” have the ability to change everything because we are bigger than those with the money. “The people of the world can protect each other.”
1. They are extremely organized – reminds me of the left. The right should be taking notes.
2. April 20 (26:26)
3. Cover the night (26:28)
4. Upside down (27:33) [Could this be the “bottom up” Van Jones talked about?]

“Kony 2012: Why I’m Opposed To The Campaign” (via Sabotage Times)

Excerpt:
Military intervention may or may not be the right idea, but people supporting KONY 2012 probably don’t realise they’re supporting the Ugandan military who are themselves raping and looting away. If people know this and still support Invisible Children because they feel it’s the best solution based on their knowledge and research, I have no issue with that. But I don’t think most people are in that position, and that’s a problem.

From the article:

President Obama signing the S. 1067: Lord’s Resistance Army Disarmament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009.

The bill was passed without congressional approval, and allows the US to deploy military forces in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Central African Republic and South Sudan (at the consent of those nations) in pursuit of LRA rebels.

Somehow I get the feeling if it was called the Atheist Resistance Army, these people would support him.

Were I in the military and ordered to go to Uganda, I’m afraid I’d have a serious problem with that.

Note that we have unlimited funds to go after East Africa’s Lord’s Resistance Army on both political and military fronts, but it’s hands off West Africa’s Boku Haram [Islamic] terrorists.

Wonder why that is? It’s a real head-scratcher.

From the above link,

“I do not doubt for a second that those involved in KONY 2012 have great intentions, nor do I doubt for a second that Joseph Kony is a very evil man. But despite this, I’m strongly opposed to the KONY 2012 campaign.

KONY 2012 is the product of a group called Invisible Children, a controversial activist group and not-for-profit. They’ve released 11 films, most with an accompanying bracelet colour (KONY 2012 is fittingly red), all of which focus on Joseph Kony. When we buy merch from them, when we link to their video, when we put up posters linking to their website, we support the organization. I don’t think that’s a good thing, and I’m not alone.”

Some counterpoints:

"I do not doubt for a second that those involved in KONY 2012 have great intentions, nor do I doubt for a second that Joseph Kony is a very evil man. But despite this, I'm strongly opposed to the KONY 2012 campaign."

Why I'm Opposed to the Kony Campaign

Should I Donate Money to Kony 2012 or Not?

Thanks for the quick quotes and link compilation - people would be fools to take all this concern about Uganda at face value since all the usual leftist suspects are lining up to cheerlead it. Something else is in the works under the radar.

I am still unsure how I feel about this, I am leaning to the “Why are these leftists promoting more military intervention, isn’t this what they are against?”

Also, would it not be easier to send in a seal team and kill this guy, although the result I fear would be someone worse or as equally bad taking his place, also the Ugandan military is just as bad.

I heard about Kony about a year ago, and the LRA. It’s making the rounds on Facebook, at first I was like, good get this guy, but the more I think about it, I realize it’s very hypocritical of the left and their “anti-war” agenda. I feel like this video may have been made for a reason to get our military there for other interests, other than removing Kony.

If just for humanitarian reasons, and it’s the right thing to do....I’m not sure I agree. The right thing to do, I believe, would be as I said before, send in a seal team, and kill this guy.

A friend sent me the video on Facebook, I said much the same thing.....he said, they want to bring him to trial. Why?

Get a contract with the African governments involved for some soldiers of fortunate to go over and take the jerk out. The activists can fund the operation.

Don’t use the US military like this.
