Looking at the source it is easy to guess who they think is too stupid toknow what’s good for them
And it’s folks like this writer that elected the most incompetent leader in the nation’s history.
This has long been the opinion of progressives. There is nothing democratic in the cries to disenfranchise the Tea Party.

And how about the book "Unlimited Access : An FBI Agent Inside the Clinton White House" by Gary Aldrich. I will always remember how potential Clinton staffers responded to loyalty clearance questions: "I am totally loyal to the Clintons!" The spoiled brats just don't get it.
Author is a dumbass. America was never meant to be a thriving democracy. It was meant to be a consitutional republic.
Further, Americans are smart enough to support a Republic. It is not raw stupidity that dooms us. Our government only works with a moral and informed electorate. The electorate by and large has sunk badly from the high morals we used to have, from embracing abortion to thinking bastard children with no fathers is a good thing.
It is not stupidity, but lack of morals and ignorance that is causing the electorate to be duped time and again.
And then there are those who vote for whoever promises them the most. Since these are now 51% of voters and pay no Federal income taxes whatsoever, we are doomed.
Low morals, ignorance and greed are dooming us. Not stupidity. Democracies don’t work. Our republic worked for a long time, then we abandoned God.
