I don’t remember the last time that one of my LTTE was accepted.... this is why I only use the comments section on the online version of several papers. They haven’t got around to policing those ones yet to see if comments fit in with their ‘quality standards’.
we had a letters campaign in 2000 which focused upon Al Gore’s treacehry toward pro life. Al lost in Tennessee, his ‘home state’ in what turned out to be an extremely close race. Letters were published then in several area papers, including Bristol Herald Courier, The Johnson City Press Chronicle, Kingsport Times, Nashville Banner, and in fact in a few papers in other states under names of other freepers. If we don’t try, we know damned well we will not be heard. If enough keep trying, eventually the roar will become heard.
Unfortunately a lot of the on line comment sections now “require” you to use your facebook account. I refuse to be sucked in to the facebook crap thus no comments.
