Having the federal government dictate what you do on the internet IS NOT for the good of the nation, it's for the good of Big Government.
If you honestly think that this wouldn't be used to open the door to further censorship, you're a fool. Once the feds get Americans used to the idea of dictating what they can do on the internet, it will not stop with porn.
Liberals will try to push through all kinds of legislation - restricting access to websites that discuss guns (to protect the children), restricting access to websites that say bad things about illegal immigrants (protecting minorities), restricting access to websites that say bad things about Islam (protecting religion).
As much as I hate porn of any sorts, even more so now that I have grandkids, I hate even more the idea of the federal government censoring the internet, because it will not stop with porn.
