I have the sinking feeling that he plead guilty for a life sentence on a plea bargain that should not have been offered. Unless there is a strong likelihood that he could not have been convicted in a jury trial, he should have been tried.

In fact, just today 3/22, Mississippi just executed a murderer, and another just two days ago.

family didn’t want him executed. Don’t believe in death penalty.

Well, if the guy was a member of some hate group, they might have offered him a deal to testify against others. Or maybe they just wanted to save money on all the costly death penalty appeals that go on forever.
