Okay, that makes more sense. That philtrum is certainly prominent on Obama. Less prominent on Malcolm. The angle of the photo and the expression on the face can make that feature (and other features) more or less pronounced. It wasn't hard to find pictures of each smiling where the similarity was pronounced. In biometrics, though, you have to rely on more than one measurement.

Phil Valentine is a nut with all kinds of theories about 911 and Bush Nazi ancestry connections. He may have a point about President Obama not being of Luo ancestry. It itself, though, that doesn't make Malcolm X the most likely candidate for his father.

But about the chin cleft. Maybe somebody understands genetics. I don't. If a cleft chin is a dominant trait or gene, wouldn't the son of a man with a chin cleft be very likely to have one himself? There may be a variety of genes and other factors involved, but doesn't Barack's lack of a cleft in his chin make him less likely to be Malcolm X's son?

MX had six daughters, none of them appear to have a chin cleft.
