From the previews, it looks like the Hunger Games is very similar to “The Lottery.” If anyone has seen it, was that the case?
The Hunger Games is similar to
The Lottery, but of course much longer & more complex. Notable difference is in the former everyone knows why the event happens, participants are children up to 18, participation may be voluntary, and much time is spent on conflict/combat involving multiple, um, winners.
