Well, we’re supposed to be sensitive about the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow and all that.

Someone once told me that an ethnic group just doesn’t quickly get over that their people were once held as slaves. I tried to tell this person that no black people in America today were ever slaves, but, she told me that the legacy of slavery is still there.

She had a liberal mindset which couldn’t be bothered with facts such as slavery having ended almost 150 years ago, or Jim Crow laws starting to be dismantled 50 years ago.

You’re being rational. As long as people feel collective guilt for past episodes, they’ll be prone to compensating for their guilt.

As an American of Irish decent, I was brought up to get over how my ancestors were brought to America as indentured servants and were basically slaves themselves. There are a lot of Irish Americans who have the same history as well as other nationalities who were brought here under less than perfect conditions.

I believe that blacks only want to keep alive the slave history to allow them a pass on taking responsibility for their current generations actions. After all, it’s been less than 200 years since my family came here and the Irish that came to America have become very good citizens who have melted into the fabric of society and contribute to the betterment of our country as a whole.

Now take a percentage of blacks. They have been here since the inception of the country. Yet they still can’t speak the language with any clarity, they won’t or don’t work at making the most out of our education systems for their betterment and they have done most everything they could to not melt into the fabric of our country and help America become a better place. They want equality but without the contributions of their race into the building of American society. Their ancestors did try to become Americans and I believe that most did successfully. Yet the current generations have tossed out or squandered the ideas of becoming American fully and have reversed the progress their prior generations worked so hard to accomplish. Why?

The current generation of blacks appear to be wanting something without working for it. They want reparations for something that happened to a group over 3 generations ago.

When someone starts throwing around the slavery crap to me I tell them that only a percentage of blacks were slaves and that even free blacks owned slaves. In fact it was blacks in Africa who sold other blacks into slavery. Muslims would war against tribes in Africa and take the defeated as slaves. The overflow of which they would sell to the Dutch slave traders to supply slave needs in Europe and America. To hear blacks talk you would think that ALL blacks in America in the 1700s - 1960s were slaves. And to hear blacks talk you would think that all white people owned slaves. Less than 1% of whites owned slaves.

The race baiters have been really working hard and overtime to revise history to allow this warped mentality to ferment. But the facts are that the American slave history is not what they believe it was. They just wish to remain ignorant to the truth of history and use that lie to justify their wanting to be segregated from the rest of us and somehow deserving of more without earning it.

That same mentality is now spreading through other cultures. Take for example the occupy wall street hippies. They are starting to get a entitlement ideology that they are using to bring down the very country that gives them freedom. They want to rid us of capitalism and replace it with socialism under the false belief that it will give them more freedom and more opportunities. The exact opposite is what will happen, but after the constant dumbing down of our youth they have little understanding of history and are willing to throw out the very foundations of freedom to bring about their own slavery.

What fools we have brought upon our selves in allowing this to take place. It brings a chill to my spine knowing the kind of evil we have birthed upon ourselves.
