The “environmentalists” are going to be exposed as another shake-down operation.
They freaked out when we wanted to build Keystone through country that is criss-crossed with pipelines, though country that is relatively flat and easy, to bring oil to “us”.
They are not going to get too exercised at taking a pipeline over the Rockies and the Coastal mountain ranges to the coast to deliver that oil to China.
“Environmentalists” regularly go around the world and organize strikes and uprisings, file law-suits all over the world to stop oil projects when they are not OPEC projects, and when they are not Chinese or Russian.
OPEC projects, Chinese and Russian projects, they never say boo. Its as if somehow only non-OPEC pipelines are a threat to the environment; only non-Chinese oil causes global warming. If its Chinese, its fine. The little critters are only threatened by pipelines we build. If the Chinese build them, the critters are happy and mother nature smiles.
The enviros would be protesting in China, too, if they thought that doing so would not pose any physical risk to themselves.
