Has the US sent North Korea the food aid yet? If not, cancellation of any proposed shipments should be in order. But then again this is the Obama administration and accelerated shipments may be the order of the day.
About three weeks ago SecState Hillary Clinton said we would have to consider withholding food aid if the DPRK launched a satellite using missile technology. As far as I can tell no food has been shipped (Kim says we violated the agreemnt by not delivering the food, and that’s why he will test a nuke).
At some point this administration will get the message that anyone named Kim or anyone else from North Korea is not to be trusted. Obama was just trying to buy time before the DPRK violated the agreement, hoping nothing negative would happen before the election. He missed by 7 months.
This incident makes young Kim a hero. He has made Obama look like a weak kneed idiot, not only to his own country, but to the rest of Asia. And young Kim has made himself look strong. In Asian cultures that’s important.
As I pointed out, Obama is pulling the same game of expediency with Israel, Iran and Egypt. With all three, plus Libya, it will come back to bite him.
