With Santorum not campaigning and Paul still a nut, Newt should win Texas but if it is not winner-take-all it won't do him any good.

Even coming in second at a big delegate state like Texas could still give Romney his 1144 if delegates are allocated.

I'm just curious how the efforts of the Texas Tea Party are going in making the Lone Star State winner-take-all—the decision will make or break Newt's efforts to miracle a win or force a brokered convention.

Texas may be rising for Newt but will the GOP-e steal another one for Mitt in spite of it?

I laff at the typical Texan hubris, but I admire their pure conservative recalcitrance—we may all soon be using the state of Texas as our Alamo if Santa Anna Obama wins reelection and then institutes the “Final Solution” to the “Conservative Question.”

Is Texas going to be a “winner-take-all” primary?

Texas is currently designed to be Proportional Primary and Open to all registered voters. The SREC will have to have an emergency session with enough votes to pass a rule changing the allocation process to Winner Take All.

Rick can’t have everything laid out on a silver platter for him. He needs to have stepped up an took the chance.

Rick chose between bankrupting his young family or stepping aside—same as Sarah Palin...

...wanna call her a loser too?

I call them a loving father and mother of young children who won't quite risk everything they have on an inside straight.

Is that eastern or central time? I’m on central and that’s not on.

Oh, and I agree, God bless Texas—many Texans are a boorish lot but priceless to the cause.

If you can make the state winner take all it will reduce the decisions of IA, NH SC and Fla to looking like choosing sides for a school yard marble match.
With the whole state of Texas in your magazine you can endure a Tampa shootout against the RINOs for a long time cuz without Texas "enthusiastically" on his side in November, the GOP nominee may as well concede the day after Tampa.

It ain’t over yet! Mitt still does not have enough confirmed delegates to seal the deal. If the convention opens and no one has enough delegates, NEWT does have a good chance of turning away the GOPe’s pick.

Never called anyone a loser. You were the one proffering that Rick would have stayed in if he knew for sure that Texas would become a ‘WTA’. He folded and didn’t step up to the plate. Nothing wrong with that as that was his choice and way of handling the situation he was dealing with. Take your loser assertion and cram it.

Oh, don’t worry about Rick’s campaign debt, he’s got it all covered with the “cloud the conservative waters” campaign then drop out thinking VP is a done deal with “Mr. Big”.

“He (she) folded and didn't step up to the plate” heard the same lame attacks on Sarah Palin.

Maladroit sophistry—not even worthy of a liberal—I busted you and you go all para-logical and nasty.

You lost too quick, FRiend-I prefer a challenge.

The State Republican Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Texas passed a resolution warning Mitt Romney to go to the Texas Presidential Debate that the Texas GOP is putting together before the Texas Primary on May 29th, 2012. Gingrich, Santorum (before he dropped out) and Paul have accepted the invitation to this nationally televised Texas Presidential Debate. Romney has not accepted.

“We basically told Romney that if he does not go to the debate then we will take it to mean that he does not care about out large Republican state and therefore he should not get any of our delegates.”

That is a strong warning from the largest Republican State Party in America! Don’t Mess with Texas, Mitt Romney!

He didn’t step up to the plate. That is fact. He dealt with his situation as he saw fit and that is his right. That doesn’t change the facts no matter how you try to spin it.

If Romney were to agree to debate Gingrich at this point I would say he is too stupid to pee...

...and we aren't all that impressed with him anyhoo.

But if Mendacious Moderate Mitt were to take on Newt, especially now that the former Speaker has his back to the wall...lose or win he would gain a little respect from many conservatives-conservatives he will desperately need if he wants a clean win in Tampa much less in November.

Give Newt a chance and maybe not get his 1144 then take him on and fight for them in Florida and then, perhaps, win it all in November.

Mark Levin said that Mitt has a lot of fence mending to do if he has any hopes of resurrecting the Reagan coalition he has destroyed during the campaign if he wants to have a prayer of beating Obama in the general--having the guts to go one one one with Newt in one more televised debate could guarantee or damn his chances of being our next president...otherwise the whole damn thing remains in flux.

I will walk over broken glass to vote for Newt.....and that’s saying something......as I said, I am not looking for the perfect candidate, just a merely mediocre one.

Okay...

Let’s see, “Not stepping up to the plate” is that calling someone a winner or a loser? Take your time.

“Not eating meat” Oh golly! Is that calling someone a carnivore or a vegan? Again take your time.

Jeez, why do I waste my time like this?
