It’ll put a big dent in individuals registering in multiple places to vote. Plus, anyone that stands against such a move will have a hard time justifying supporting the background check for firearms ownership, another Civil Right.

The left has had almost a free reign to destroy our Rights for the last 40+ years. We now have a way to make them regret it.

I don't mean to discourage the idea, however, I do want to point out why it is not a given that it would prove effective in the face of blatant non-enforcement.

There is for one example a county where owners of real estate property are liable to pay the county property taxes. I was discussing an unrelated matter with a person when I was told they couldn't participate in an upcoming event because their sibling-in-law needed help. It seems the sibling-in-law anticipated an imminent arrest and prosecution for failure to pay property taxes for several decades. One question led to another, and the story was revealed.

Reportedly, the Democrat leadership in the county, family, and ceertain friends had quite a scam going for a very long time. Their real esttate properties were supposedly removed from the county property tax rolls, so they never had to pay the property taxes everyone else were burdened to pay. Someone finally succeeded in bypassing the corrupt state law enforcement organizations and succeeded in getting the Federal law enforcement agencies to investigate this corruption. The sibling-in-law was one of the people being investigated by the Federal authorities, and he had to hire a defense attorney. A few stories about the Federal invesitgatoins ongoing appeared in the newspapers, and then the stories ended and disappeared from the news media. Some months later I was talking to the person whose sibling-in-law was awaiting arrest, and I asked whatever happened to that Federal investigation and the impending arrests? He smiled and said the whole investigation was dropped without explanation, and it all just went away.

This is the same county in which a man was hired from out of the county to work in management at a plant site in the county. When he purchased his real property for his home, his real property was given a very high property tax assessment. After discussing the problem with natives of the county, he was instructed to go back to the county courthouse, register as a Democrat for the elections, and then complain about the property tax assessment to the county assessor. Sure enough, the county assessor clerk checked his voter registration as a Democrat, smiled, and found an excuse to dramatically lower his property tax assessment. From then on, he had to be careful about voting only as a Democrat in the primaries, so he could then vote how he liked for a Republican in the general election.

The point of the story is that the existence of laws on the books quite often are disregarded with impunity by the Democrats and not a few Republicans as well.
