Ms Thatcher, even in her present state, still has quite a few IQ points over the Obamaloon.

Totally agree in RINOmney...he is a vapid dork.

I’m worried, but preparing for CW-II....which appears to be our only way out.

yes I remember it well, I had just entered the workforce as a 16year old technician apprentice and was making the princely sum of 95p/hour for a 40 hour week. After taxes I had 26quid in my weekly pay envelope. Whilst I realize the unions were out of control and needed to be reined in, I would have preferred it not be done at the cost of the countries manufacturing base.

Still fighting. I have great hope in heaven, but little hope for America. Thirty years ago, people talked about the political pendulum swinging left and then right. Unfortunately, we’re not seeing anything swinging right. Single moms, the number one cause of poverty, are now hero’s. ABC is now gAyBC. Europe is succumbing to Islam. Africa is falling to Islam. South America is moving towards Communism. Freedom is not expanding.

The quality of a Democracy can not exceed the qualify of the press. The lamestream press has gone from bad to corrupt, and is now unrepentant when caught in a lie. Fox is moving to the left. Romney may slow the slide, but he’ll keep moving us left.

My fellow Christians need to prepare for a severe persecution.

My dad actually met Romney at an event back when he was Governor of Masshole. He said he seemed like a nice enough guy at face value (which doesn't count for much, but anyway). Some women who was going to speak turned to Romney and told him ''watch my dog''(!) and handed him the leash. My dad said Romney gave the dog a belly rub and went and got it some water (this was all backstage).

This is of course not any kind of endorsement of Romney's policies (I did NOT vote for him, BTW) just offering some perspective into the guy's personality (or perhaps his affected personality?)

We have a real problem with the MSM here in the US and I know it is global.

Our system was never designed to allow a President (ANY President) to be the unconditional spoiled darling of the MSM.

An MS with an unchecked and wholesale bias (in either direction) was never in the equation and should not continue. It compromises the political dynamic, it hobbles our strength, unity and stability as a nation and it disfigures our national character.

Voters MUST reject leaders who gratuitously polarize Americans, AS policy! This will keep the media honest as well.

I have actually met and talked to Obama..... You look into his eyes and there is nothing there. No soul, no feeling....... It is like looking into the eyes of a shark. Watching Romney, who I have not met, I feel the same basic revulsion.

Yes indeed. They don't look...they glare at best. Thank you for you posting this thread.

Times going to run out soon....and if this Primary goes to Romney I will be planning for the worst...both Romney or Obama will simply be the pawns being used to carry out what we know is coming.

Been reading many threads on FR recently and have been horrified and saddened by the general feeling of defeat pervading the threads. So I want to share something that happened back in 1979, here in the UK.

And that's supposed to cheer me up? You can't even own a handgun anymore, much less carry one. Your country has no freedom to speak of, and that's just one example.

Thatcher was an anomaly (I'm beginning to think Reagan was, too). After her, the UK went back to socialism as usual.

Thanks very much!

You get it!

Our primaries are NOT over!

Nothing is set in cement, like our corrupt lamestream would have us believe.

We conservatives do not surrender. We reload.

We fight, we pray! We trust in Him.

VOTE NEWT!

Great post — and much needed. Conservatives these days tend too much toward gloom and resignation. These sentiments are especially unworthy of Americans, with our long and glorious history of winning against expectations and adversity. We instead need to emulate the courage and determination that Thatcher and Reagan demonstrated throughout their careers.

Thanks. There are two conditions in the USA that might interest you.

* The US economy is far worse than broadcast in both sponsored and government propaganda (see political/regulator class sponsorships).

* Regulatory efforts in the USA against economic activities and even owner-builder activities—regulatory efforts using irrelevant environmentalist and animal “rights” arguments—have saturated all levels of government down to even very remote and sparsely populated areas. Establishment interests of both political parties drive those efforts against new small production businesses and even small private projects (e.g., storage sheds).

We’ll resume personal spending and political gestures, when the problem is remedied.

The aforementioned media have been saying for about five years that Asia is collapsing. They’re blowing smoke. Watch Asia, as it rises, with western sponsors continuing incomes from debts (The City, government interests, other western globalists).

Great post - great line.
But there is a difference between you and me :)
Watching Romney, you feel like looking at a shark.
I feel like looking at a venomous snake.

"Ronald Reagan's very last public appearance in 1994, coincidentally at the approach of Gingrich's triumph later that year in winning a GOP House, was an evening in Washington with his old friend and fellow conservative the former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. In a dinner that re-united the Reagan team with their chief one last time, a small memento of the night was given to all of us. Underneath a picture of the two great conservatives Reagan and Thatcher strolling the grounds of Camp David, deep in conversation, was this reminder of conservatism from Reagan:

"History comes and goes, but principles endure and inspire future generations to defend liberty, not as a gift from government, but a blessing from our Creator."
