I think Mom (who sent the angelic Trayvon to stay with his biological father after he had been suspended for two weeks for a variety of things) knows or suspects the truth and would actually like to have this all go away. We haven’t heard the coroner’s report or any of the other evidence, but I’ll bet it would all corroborate Zimmerman’s story.
However, Mom knows she’s going to get grilled by the defense lawyer, and I think she’s concerned about this (as I would be, too). Her son was clearly out of control and going from bad to worse, and I don’t think she wants to deal with this.
I’d feel worse for her if she hadn’t run out to try to trademark his name, but since I once saw two people deciding to claim that one of them had slipped on a paper match (back in the day of the old book matches and smoking in public) at a checkout aisle and how much they were going to get from that store....I guess this is normal human nature.
How much information about Trayvon ‘sidetracked’ do you think the bench will permit? They’re going to make everything the defense brings up inadmissible.
Actually I feel for her now, she seems to be a class act. Getting that trademark or web name could be keeping the name away from some really bad types.
