Jesus came as the Christ to suffer and to rise for our salvation, so that there would be forgiveness of sins for the church to proclaim. This he did, the eternal Son of God coming in the flesh to suffer and die and rise again on our behalf This is most certainly true!
The reality is that many churchgoers are closet Docetists so our task of evangelism begins with the conversion of the Baptized.
