Support Bipartisan Legislation to Stop Federal Overreach on Private Land
NMA Act Online ^ | 5-8-12 | NMA

A bipartisan group of high ranking House members have introduced legislation to stop the Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from codifying a policy that expands federal authority to regulate essentially all areas where water flows in the United States. The proposed change will have the impact of drastically expanding the federal government's regulatory control over state and private land and water resources and limit economic activity for not only the mining industry but a broad section of the nation's job-creating industries, such as agriculture, manufacturing and construction. Urge your Member of Congress to cosponsor H.R 4965.

EPA has signaled that they are prepared to finalize their proposed "guidance," bypassing legitimate public outreach and failing to take into account the economic implications such a policy will have.

Does anyone remember when the right to (private) property was sacred? Or is that just another provision of the US Constitution the Judicial Branch can demolish routinely?

The naziesque state "environment protection" agency tried to declare my fire lanes "wetlands" because rainwater pooled in them. I finally sold that gorgeous property to developers because the "environmentalists" would not leave me alone. I made an ENORMOUS profit! The forest is now stumps and weeds. Do the "environmentalists" care? Hell no! All they want is to be BIGSHOTS!

These are people who are qualified to push mops but have been elevated to positions of authority because of American decadence and are now free to be the bullies and sadists that they have always yearned to be.

So, if you have a water hole on your ranch, the EPA and the Corps get to decide how many cattle can drink there?

I see it coming, and it isn't going to be pretty. No wonder they want drones in the air--they'll know where to dig for the Suburbans...

The fascists at the EPA have been shot down twice by the USSC in the SWANCC and Raponos decisions.

Congress needs to abolish the neo-Nazi EPA.

Congress needs to abolish the neo-Nazi EPA.

I agree! There are plenty of other alphabet departments and agencies which could follow, imho.

If not abolished then their regulatory powers should be stripped. The EPA should be reduced to advisory status. Any regulations they would like implemented should be submitted for peer review and put on line for public comment. After six months the proposed regulation can be submitted to congress for a yea or nae.
The EPA should be seriously downsized and reduced to a division within the department of the interior.
