OBAMA: I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I have talked to friends and family and neighbors when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together. . . . I saw that blip on TX yesterday, and the way 0 bummer acted - well "uh", "ah", "uh", "ah","uh", "ah","uh", "ah", I'd say it is as made up as his composite girlfiend.

Psst... Obama... core beliefs don’t change simply because somebody close to you is involved in an activity that you are morally opposed to. If a person can be swayed that easily, it was never a core belief.
My niece is gay. She’s just announced that she’s proposed to her partner. Even though I love my niece, I still remain opposed to gay marriage. I will treat her partner with kindness and respect, and I will shut my mouth at family gatherings, but as far as I’m concerned it was morally wrong yesterday and it will be morally wrong tomorrow.
