1/32 Cherokee isn't enough to say u are part Native American???

I worked with a guy who was 1/4 Native American and refused to list himself as a minority. He thought his performance, not minority got him where he was.

Don't be silly, of course it is. For example, I'm 1/1024th Eskimo and my g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-g-grandfather was adopted by a polar bear, which makes me part endangered species. If I were to run for governor of MA I should be a shoo-in.

Confusing isn't it? Government questionnaires are getting to be so particular about racial identity nowadays that I'm tempted to just write in "other" instead of checking a box. I suppose I could write in "American human", but that would probably disqualify me for whatever I'm applying for if it involved taxpayer's money.
