The Republican Party is the Party of Lincoln, under whose leadership the Union was saved, and the slaves freed. We have deep historical roots.

At present, the Republican Party is the Party of Boehner, McConnell and Romney, under whose leadership it abets the Democrat Party in subverting the same liberty it once strove to protect.

Without that Union, there would have been no force of freedom strong enough to save the world from the expanding grip of totalitarianism that arose in the 1930's, 1940's and 1950's.

Today's Republican Party appears willing to gamble away that strength through budget 'agreements' that do not have significant impact on any spending except the defense budget.

What freedom the world enjoys today, was built on the foundation of the Republican Party under Lincoln's leadership, a Party that stood solidly on the deeper bedrock foundation of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

The Republican Party was not founded by Abraham Lincoln.

"Don't Give Up the Ship" is a patriot cry that should reach all of our ears today.

Agreed. However, the ship has given up on us.

Please don't give into the subtle influence of the darkside which can so easily instill in the soul feelings of hopelessness and frustration tempting us mightily to leave our assigned positions on the battlements.

And who 'assigns' us these positions? Whose orders do we follow, forsaking our better judgment and Christian principles to support those who work to subvert our ideals at every turn?

Do the elites 'assign' us? Our betters in Washington who have given us the least palatable Presidential candidate in our modern history, replete with Congressional leaders with so little backbone as to become laughingstocks to the people they are elected to serve?

That the forces of darkness, in the form of rebellion against the Laws of God are marching into the Republican Party in unprecedented numbers, does not signal to us that it is time to flee. It signals to us that it is time to stand our ground against, yes, the RomneyZombies.

It does not, however, signal to us that we must support the forces of darkness with our vote.

God's sponsorship is with us as we defend with our lives the foundations he has provided. And with His help we can save the Soul of the Republican Party.

I trust you are a Christian. You therefore are surely cognizant of the concept of free will. He who will be saved must first, of his own free will, accept salvation. It is painfully clear that the Republican Party has chosen the path that leads away from salvation. In fact, it can be argued that in many states, at the local level, the Republican Party is now closer to Libertarian control in the form of Paul supporters than it is to conservative control.

The Republican Party has left us. It is time for a renaissance.

By standing against Palin, he’s ... how to phrase this ... decided for me. I long ago decided Palin represented everything the GOP needs, and I would support her.

I sincerely doubt your support of Palin, given your support of Romney.

It's like oil and water since Romney is a Progressive Liberal and Palin is a Tea-Party conservative.

I do diverge from EV on Palin, but on the issues and his record, he much more in line with conservative thought than Romney is exactly because of Romney's lying, left-wing, Progressive Record that you don't seem to want to hear about.

I’m not questioning his positions. I’m just getting tired of wading through 24/7 hatred against Mitt Romney. Seriously. The election is 168 days from today. It’s time to start focusing on defeating Obama. Then we can fight amongst ourselves, and get a real president in 2016. I’ll start, by suggesting Sarah Palin. But first things first.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ This

I don't think Mittens is first choice for any of us, But the alternative unthinkable, 4 more years of OBOZO will make this country unrecognizable if it exits at all
