When discussing with my family, Hmama was the only one who had NOT heard of kids drinking mixed concoctions using cough syrup, candies and sweet drinks.

Give my 3 year old granddaughter a sugary concoction like that and she’s gonna face-climb El Cabinet and crawl across the ceiling like Spiderman.
Long ago in Vietnam many of my troops were dipping tootsie pop suckers into bottles of codine cough syrup. Called a cold pack from sick call. This “Lean” sounds like a variant of that fuzzy brain game.
