I had always rather suspected that most of those who worship at the altar of Gaia had what at best was only a very faulty grasp of science.
Gaia, apparently, is a god that may only be expiated by reducing humanity to a level approximately that of the Stone Age, just after the discovery of some control of fire. Fire is MAGIC, and that was all the “science” you had to know.
But over the centuries, the magicians have combed the curliques out of their thinking, and actually discovered some facts and relationships that make the interconnectedness of the world at once easier to use, yet far more complex than any set of rules that mankind has yet imagined.
What little bit that mankind can do to affect the immediate environment, is more than cancelled out and nullified by the much greater expanse and force of natural events that have long occurred over and over. And the resilience of most of the systems that exist in nature when apparent disaster strikes, when devastation appears complete, exists more in the minds of men, than in the eye of God.
All life on earth NEEDS carbon dioxide, somewhere in its life cycle, and carbon dioxide is the medium by which a vast amount of equilibrium is maintained. Artifically reduce the level of CO2 too far, and plants die, or at least stop growth. And as a “greenhouse gas”, carbon dioxide is a very poor second in importance to water vapor.
Another nail in the coffee for the socialist democratic frauds still clinging to the AGW/IPCC CO2 scam. AGW along with obama’s socialist democrat party are collasping faster than Eric Witholder can delete his Fast and Furious emails.
Saw a Prius the other day with a vanity plate that said “LOWR CO2”. I wanted so bad wanted to pull up next to the moron and tell him to stop breathing!
