And I am sure that even fewer know that the US Government supplied the Mexican Government with weapons, ammo, pilots, and air support against the Cristeros.
Plus on top of it, Americans are not afraid to use it.
Just came from seeing it. Excellent movie. Thought Andy Garcia's acting to be a little lacking. I hope many see this film and talk about it. Barnhart is right The hhs mandate is out Cristeros War.
I just saw this film yesterday with my two youngest sons (18 and 13) for Father’s Day. It is an extraordinary film (though paced a bit slowly at times) but my 18 year old told me that the reviews were not very good. I told him I didn’t really care about the reviews. After the movie his response was, “I hate it when you are right.” (Kinda warms ol’ dad’s heart, that one.)
Barnhardt is right about the nature of the HHS conscience grab. As we walked out I told my sons that now they can understand why the Bishops answer to Obama’s mandates is not just “No.” but “Hell, no!.” They got it. And we are not even Catholic. Viva Cristo Rey!
