I don't think she made the Au Pair deal with zero's parents until the spring of 61; but even if we are wrong on the birth date and it is in fact the summer of 60, she still has plenty of time to have graduated from Mercer Island to do it.
The true bottom line on Mercer Island is that there is no credible proof that she graduated in 1960 under circumstances where the record is under the control of the Liberal forces that support Zero's interest--if she was really there, they could show you the record that proves it and they don't. End of story.
The two year record plus one year in Seattle would fit her having done her sophomore year at Franklin 57-58; and her junior and senior years at Mercer island in 58-59 as a junior and 59-60 as a senior.
It would also fit a scenario in which she did her Freshman year at Eckstein or Franklin; in fact was in the first group of students at Mercer Island as a sophomore; did the junior year at Mercer Island; and then graduated from a High School in Chicago in 1960 where she had been working as an Au Pair at the time the movie was released exactly as Zero has her saying.
Yes, I get all that. The only reason I brought up the video is that EVEN THEY CAN’T GET HER PAST TWO YEARS AT MERCER. If she was there at all.
And 1956 from when it apparently opened plus two years is 1958 Grade 10 in my language.

They didn’t leave ‘she was accepted to attend the University of Chicago’ in that stupid book for no reason...Her Uncle, Charles T Payne was Deputy Director of the Library at the University of Chicago, he lived in Hyde Park, and his wife was on a committee with the wife of David Axelrod.
She had the right connections, and possibly attended a high school in Chicago while living with her Uncle and his wife. Maybe that’s when the film Black Orpheus enters, it was released in December 1959 iirc. She says, with words that Ayres puts in her mouth in ‘Dreams’ that she was working as an au pair that summer. What year might that have been?
I have a sense that if she graduated high school anywhere, it was in Chicago. There are tales from girls who say they knew her in Seattle, that she and her father fought continuously. I do believe Maxine knew her, but see nothing to indicate that she saw anything of her after the age of 15, in 1957, and that is dated by the photograph Maxine gave to Getty images.
