The more I see Rubio now, the more I can’t stand him.

It’s because he’s not eligible to be President and I believe he knows it.

But rather than be a statesman and a Constitutional scholar and say so, he plays us.

He undermines his oath of office with each dodge and missed opportunity and that alone tells me all I need to know about Marco Rubio.

No integrity. He just loves the attention. FAIL!

Both parties have failed us, just as Washington warned.

Rubio has no qualifications for high office in the executive branch.

The track record of (the few) US Senators who have been elected, or run for, POTUS or VP, is dismal. You need look no further than 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue for example #1.

However, the string of losers - Stevenson, Humphrey, McGovern, Dole, Kerry, McCain - and the track record of those elected to the offices - Harding, JFK, LBJ, Quayle, Gore, Obama - should make you rethink the notion that ANY US Senator is a suitable choice.

The US Supreme Court in Minor v. Happersett defined what the term natural born means: to be born of parents who are both citizens

I do not believe that what you call "defined" was a sole and exclusive definition in that case, and I think the text makes that clear.

The case says that someone born here of citizen parents IS an NBC (nobody doubts that). It does not say that someone born here of naturalized or alien parents is not.

I don't think Rubio is QUALIFIED to be VP, but he may be ELIGIBLE.

Rubio would add nothing to the ticket, he is too smooth spoken, we need Christie, someone who can give the socialists hell, and mean it. Christie is a former prosecutor. That’s why he spells it out so clearly, and in a way that tells you he means exactly what he’s saying. If you don’t believe me, then look him up on You Tube and watch him tell they blood-suckers off who think they are owed one. He’s has a way of setting people straight. That would be a nice balance to Romney being focused about fixing the economy. Look at how Biden is, I would much rather see Christie giving Biden the what for. You can’t just nominate someone because they are good looking and because of affirmative action concerns. That doesn’t work for us. We are not going to impress the Independents either, cause they see right through it, and it turns them off, cause they know that’s not our natural inclination. The GOP must be true to themselves. Don’t use the Democrat playbook, we’ve got out own way, and we need to stick to that.

Not only is he a RINO, an non NBC citizen, but he is too young. Sheesh didn’t the Republicans learn their lesson by picking that one young guy who destroyed the chances of Bush I? They will have Rubio in diapers with a rattle saying is this who you want one hearbeat way from the Presidency and most people will be wary. You need someone at least in their 50’s with lots of experience.

*********************************

Agreed, but remember we're talking about Romney. Whoever he chooses will have to be someone he can control and who won't outshine him. A younger, less experienced candidate may be appealing to him.

Rubio is NOT a natural born citizen. The End.

I will add that even if you believe Rubio is constitutionally qualified there are enough voters that know he is not to make him unelectable. The numbers are there. We don't want another Obama and we can't afford to open the door of the presidency to anchor babies. Get real.

Rubio is not a natural-born citizen, good guy though he may be. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Besides, we need people like him in the Senate.

Not only is TEA Party hero Marco Rubio a true Reaganite in policy on every issue

What utter pablum. RINO Rubio repudiated the Tea Party shortly after being elected. Do you remember that?

Rubio is good at parroting Conservative ideas, but every now and then his core beliefs come out -- he is someone who worships at the Alter of State Power.

Unlike Reagan RINO Rubio at his core does not see government as the problem.

Rubio hasn't worked extensively (if at all in) the private sector. Rubio has not held statewide office.

Rubio sometimes sounds good, but he is a fraud.

It's sad how people grab onto political figures and belief that they will be ones to save us.

Rubio like 99% of the politicians today have no clue or concern about the seriousness of the problems. None of them on the scene today have any true love of Liberty that our Founder's possessed.

Rubio?? LOL, get real.

Marco is a hyphenated American. Throw in his support to giving foreign aid to countries, arming the ‘rebels’ in Syria, and a form of Amnesty. Pathetic.

Why is Romney bothering to vet him then?

Obama has been president for 4 years and was born in Kenya!

I say see what the vetting process brings... obviously the GOP hasn’t ruled him out

” Romney. Whoever he chooses will have to be someone he can control and who won’t outshine him. A younger, less experienced candidate may be appealing to him. “

Honestly I think that would be part of why he’s looking at Rubio for VP... but I’ve got my own reasons, apart from Mitt’s, for favoring him

According to Rubio both his parents were legally in this country but neither of them were citizens when he was born. He knows this. He has been asked about this before. He is not a natural born citizen and he knows it.

Are you saying being ‘settled’ in the USA makes one a citizen of the USA as required for the child to be a NBC. I don’t think so because of my own situation. My parents as immigrants were not citizens when my brother and I were born. My brother, killed on Okinawa in WWII, and I had no qualms about fighting for the USA and this has always been one of my judgement factors for a person suitable to be CinC. Obama and Rubio are in the same kind of birth eligibility hole as my brother and I, but these two guys also lack any qualifying connection as to being a CinC.

Political pressure. He would run the risk of alienating some hispanics and would give the media ammunition to use against him.

I think Romney has a good team and if I'm correct they are vetting Rubio strictly for show. Romney has no intention of selecting Rubio as VP. The eligibility issue and his pro amnesty stance makes him a huge liability. These two issues are absolute deal breakers for way too many votes that Romney will need to win. Romney and his team are smart enough to know that.
