See Kyle Smith's NY Post article: Sorkin puts an angry rant into Jeff Daniel's mouth about the US being 178th in the world in infant mortality.

Actually, the list starts with the countries that have highest infant mortality and we are about 173rd of about 220 countries rated. It's not like 173 or 178 countries have better records on infant mortality.

The reason we're not higher is we count from the actual birth and a lot of babies are born prematurely. Other countries don't take pains to keep those children alive and don't start counting until a few days have passed.

How is Jeff Daniels “good for” anything? He’s creepy and uninteresting at the same time. If more women were asked about casting decisions, Daniels would be an account right now. Also Bill Paxton and Brendan Fraser, ugh.
