I am a communist. ... I believe in an economic bill of rights where a person has a right to the following.
1. A right to a job.
2. A right to a decent wage and a decent living (living wage).

That reminds me of an olllld joke about the USSR...

Seriously I've had dumbasses try that approach. The counter argument is obvious.

Me: I thought you said Obama wasn't a marxist and anyone who said he was , was stupid.

Me: So we are all marxist for using things like roads which have been around for thousands of years before Marx except for the president who wants to take over major industries like energy production and health care.

And this is where it breaks down. If the government is going to give me everything I need to live without my having to lift a finger, why on earth would I work? The government has to force people to work for their "free" stuff, and it deteriorates from there into a dictatorship.

Being a caseworker has opened my eyes to some truths. Half of my clients legitmately and rightly receive their benefits. Most are able bodied men and women, who even when offered employment, because we have employment services here, turn it down. BUT! they all have the latest Iphone, and the women have the best looking nails I have ever seen.

Uh oh. Reality rears its ugly head.
