Not much associated with the Bush family is.

I recall Alito, not Roberts, was the Miers replacement. Alito is fine. I believe Roberts signed on to keep Kennedy from writing the decision. That kind of reasoning never works out. I would have rather it be 5-4 if need be.

Not suggesting she would have been. But there was great glee with her stepping aside and Roberts being the nominee. He was to be indicative of a further shift to the right of the court since initially he was to replace Sandra Day O'Conner. He was seen as a seismic right shift.
