I’ve fired somewhere around half a million rounds in my lefetime, mostly outside in dry grasslands etc. Never came near to starting a fire..
I’ve seen MILLIONS of small rounds fired in areas where dry grass and brush was just waiting to go up. The only time I’ve seen small arms cause a fire is when a thousands of tracer projectiles were going downrange... and maybe 1 out of 10,000 might have caused a fire.
IMHO this is just another attempt by 0bama and the UN to take away our guns. Fast and Furious failed to achieve that goal, so they are trying this.
And it may work. Most of the liberal fools don’t REALLY give a damn if some folks from south of the border and a few US Border Patrol officers get killed, but they will weep and wail if one tree burns in their state.
Agreed. I’ve seen tracer rounds start fires on military ranges but like you say, there were hundreds if not thousands being fired.
These shotgun hazing rounds are a definite fire hazard and should not be legal and probably aren’t in most areas.
OK, I have seen some of those silly specialty shotgun shells that spew flame. Anyone firing one of those casually should be arrested for stupidity. But it isn’t the ‘target shooting’ that caused the fire.
Someone that dumb is just as likely to be a pyromaniac anyway, and if he didn’t have the dragons breath shell, would probably make do with lighter fluid.
