People using religion as an excuse not to prepare are as bad as liberals nitwits. One is waiting for God to rescue them from something they should have planned for and the other is waiting on the government to rescue them.

I wouldn’t say it’s an excuse. It’s a necessary first step of doing the rest of your prepping. Get right with God first, then do your planning - a wise man sees what is going on around him and plans accordingly, a fool sees what is happening and does nothing.

There's a world-wide tidal wave of calamity coming soon. It's huge and it will wipe out an astonishing number of people. You can either deny it or try to fight it but you aren't going to prevent it. "Religion" is man's way of trying to rescue himself. Jesus is God's way of rescuing man.

Whether their fault or not, people caught in a burning highrise will need to be rescued. If they are told where to go to be rescued, the ones that listen will be saved. Those that mock and refuse will not.
