Placing a black on the VP ticket will not help obtain a significant black vote for Romney. It seems, IMO, that many blacks hold conservative blacks in contempt as ‘Uncle Toms’ IE Clarance Thomas.

I agree 100% with your analysis.

Condi would never publicly comment on this, even though I’m sure she’s being hounded to. Hey, she may even be in on the trick. Wouldn’t put it past her.

The chum Romney’s thrown out is virtually irresistible to the media nattering nabobs and also to the Rat attack dogs, who will be literally frothing at the mouth as they tear Condi apart and rehash all the old Bush attacks.

Bain Capital will be just a faint echo for the near future. It will be revisited later, but each time this topic is dropped it will be harder to pick up and carry the next time.

Romney has some great minds in his campaign and he is both ruthless and sneaky. This is going to be the most entertaining campaign to watch in a very long time.

Quite frankly, I am tired of “expert” analysis. It is routinely wrong. It all begins with “Romney is the best choice against Hussein”.

I don’t care if Jesus arrives, is black, and Romney picks him as VP. There is ZERO chance Romney picks up a single vote from blacks or the left.

Romney is head faking because he is getting hammered on Bain and is going to keep getting hammered on Bain. A few of us can sit here and try and parse whether or not he did anything wrong, or how terrible Hussein is, but the simple matter is that we now have a nominee for POTUS who wouldn’t come close to passing vetting vor VPOTUS.

This is no masterful move, it is a desperate move by an inept campaign headed by a more inept nominee.

We keep doing this over and over and over again. We don’t like the world the way it is, so we grasp on to some pundit who makes us feel better because they conclude what we want to be the truth. I guess that explains why the Right watches Fox and the Left watches MSNBC (for the record I avoid all news entertainment and do my own research online).

There were so conservatives who brought the Rove (and other’s) ridiculous view that McCain was going to win in 2008. It was clear from the outset he had ZERO chance. That is the chance Romney has in this election. The only question is what will he do to Conservatism on his way down.

So yet again, we can sit here and salve our hopes and dreams with idiotic pundit analysis, or face a reality we may not like and STOP letting a bunch of elites decide for us the way the world should be. We outnumber the GOP elite in droves. It’s about time we started acting like it.

I think the head fake is to make the eventual choice seem a lot more conservative in comparison to Rice.

To me this points to Rubio or maybe a left field choice like Huckabee because there are elements of both that will disappoint conservatives, but if people think Rice is the choice, they seem more conservative in comparison.

Rubio would confirm and legitimize the repealing of the requirement that a president be a natural born citizen. It would essentially kill the argument altogether and render the requirement to mean “residency in the USA” by putting the other major Party on the wrong side of that issue. Politically Rubio’s only weak point that I can see is squishiness on illegals. That goes also for my favorite conservative in-office politician, Bobby Jindal and I don’t see any liabilities in his views at all.
