Good point! I just pulled my Hawaiian birth certificate circa 1947 and there it is, the Territorial seal, duly embossed. I differs from the State seal, but it’s official.
Post scriptum. Mine is an official (true) copy, complete with raised stamp. So the copy itself was stamped, along with the bona fides of the copy and the signature of the official distributing the document. How’s that for official! That’s as it should be, especially for one seeking high office.
Yes, you had a seal. Hawaii laws, I have learned from this conference, have changed over the years. A seal makes it official.
