Judge orders Fire Department to hire black and Hispanic applicants who failed “racist” written test

Think of the kind of precedent this ruling could set. Instead of hiring heart surgeons, bridge engineers, and bus drivers based on who passed the test, we could end up hiring based on who failed the test. Can you imagine the kind of world this would create?

I went to the source and read the contents of the “racist” test. Bogus, just completely bogus. The ‘judge’ was rooting for one side to win and he made it happen. What a guy.

This judge is doing these individuals no favors by helping them get jobs as fire fighters.

He is putting their lives at risk and the putting at risk those fire fighters that will go in to burning buildings with them.

Fire fighters depend on each other to survive. A fire fighter never goes in to a fire alone; he always goes in with a partner. These men depend on each other for their lives.

If these men are not up to the task of being fire fighter mentally or physically they put every fire fighter they work with in danger.

Political correctness has no place in the selection of fire fighters. Forcing fire departments to lower their standards so that they can take women and minorities that can’t pass the test is putting lives in danger and is unacceptable.

Every single objective test of human ability and human character is racist. Every written test is racist. Every test of knowledge or ability is racist. Every test of willingness to follow the law and respect the rights of others is racist. Every test of the willingness to support your own children is racist. Every test of honesty and integrity is racist.

Why? It is simply because the criteria to determine whether a test is racist has nothing to do with the test itself. What determines whether a test is racist is the results. It is that simple. If blacks do worse on the test then by definition the test must be racist. Therefore, all tests are racist.

Back when Rush had his television show he had a video montage of several women firefighters going through the paces. Some of them more than met the minimum qualifications. Others could not lift the ladder or control the hoses. I am sorry but these are not the people I want trying to save my life or that of my family.

That is so true! I am beginning to be afraid that this problem is never going to be solved, especially now that four years of Obama have further damaged race relations. I was talking to a friend of mine who is a nurse practitioner and whose husband is a doctor. She looked exhausted and I asked her what was wrong. She said that she can't sleep because her neighbors leave their dog outside and he barks all night long. She has talked to them, complained to the home owner's association, and has even called the police to no avail. The neighbors are both dentists so they are obviously well educated. They have turned the whole thing into a race issue because they are both black and have responded by leaving the dog outside even more often than before - despite the fact that the heat index the past few days has been well over 100 degrees!

Hmmm, didn’t any other minorities besides blacks and Hispanics take the test ? Why were they left out of the ruling and not force the city to hire them? Is it because they didn’t flunk the test ? If that is so, then how can the test be racist?

Why the hell do we have judges like this? Time to remove all the requirements of becomming a “judge” and appoint some street people to be the ones to decide.

Looking through the test, it mainly measures ability to read and understand directions, common sense, and the ability to remember instructions you were just given. Anybody who cannot pass this test does not have a double-digit IQ. Which is likely the problem causing it to be labeled racist.

Maybe one day this @$$hol# judge will need the services of NYFD and one of these unqualified candidates will come to attempt to aid him. That would be poetic justice.
