Obviously the IOC is catering to third world sensibilities in order to be PC and inclusive. The problem is third world people don't have any money to travel to Europe. Other than the kings and dictators that is. Why would I want to travel from the USA to a venue where I am looked at as an ugly American? I don't even care to watch this stuff on TV.

The primary in person audience for the Olympics has always been people from that country and then nearby countries. So nobody really expected you to travel for this one, the audience is supposed to be Brits and the French, maybe some of the rest of the EU. But some well publicized bad decisions annoyed a lot of people away from it though.
