My brother-in-law is supposed to go over there in mid-August. Was a navy officer/pilot for a lot of years, doing sub patrols off the coast of Iceland. He’s in the reserves now and they decided to call him up for a year in Afghanistan. My sister is thinking it’ll just be a desk job but I don’t know if anywhere is actually safe over there.
