I don’t like to post the full blogs on FR for several reasons. One, I haven’t been able to figure out how to replicate the formatting/hyperlinks. Two, they’re usually pretty long, and I think it’s better just to show the first few paragraphs. That lets anyone who’s interested read enough to decide whether or not it’s worth continuing on with. Three, since there aren’t any ads or anything like that on the blog, I’m not gaining anything out of the added traffic. I just want people interested enough to read the full article to read it in the original formatting.
As for the (obviously angry) feedback I’m getting here, I totally understand. Yesterday was a big, exciting day and worth celebrating for many conservatives. I’m just saying that there’s not much time until the elections, and that we need to focus on getting out the vote if we want to keep the House and take the Senate.
Chick-fil-A is obviously doing better than ever, we’ve won the argument, and we shouldn’t dwell on it while there are other battles still left to fight. That’s all. I’m not sure why that argument merits so many personal attacks on my character. I understand if you disagree, but let’s at least be civil about it.
I'm just a cook. I can do that.
Which are you admitting? That you are clueless? Or lazy? Or perhaps trying to drive traffic away from FR?
BTW, I'm being civil when I tell someone that offers unsolicited and bad advice to kiss my @$$. You don't want to see un-civil.

You posted this drivel of an excerpted blog, and did not respond.
I thought then you were zot-worthy.
Now you reply with a “lets move on” style of answer. And I’m quite sure of my first instincts.
IBTZ.
I understand, given your long tenure.

Of course your personal failing should grant you blog hits.
How else would it be just? How else would it be fair?
I think its better just to show the first few paragraphs
Praise God for your judgement. Especially since it provides you with blog hits.
Im not gaining anything out of the added traffic
Yes. You donate those blog hits to charity.
Im not sure why that argument merits so many personal attacks on my character
Because you are redirecting traffic to your blog.
I understand if you disagree, but lets at least be civil about it.
Stop stealing Free Republic's traffic and we shall see.
Chick-fil-a didn't start this argument. They were threatened by the government for a fairly bland comment favoring something 99% of Americans favor which is marriage.
Suddenly they are in the government's cross-hairs, and just as suddenly their neighbors have turned out to support them all over America.
Some day you may take a stand that puts you in the government's cross-hairs and when you do, I promise it will lift your spirits when your neighbors turn up in your defense.
We didn't say or do anything uncivil against anyone; we just showed up and bought a chicken sandwich. Its the other side that is squealing like scalded cats.
If you don't like bullies, go and enjoy a chicken sandwich. Don't worry about anyone being distracted from "important stuff". Being bullied by your government is pretty important and you were going to eat lunch anyway. While you're waiting in line, you'll meet some nice people who are already planning what they are going to do next November.
Whatever application you use for your blog, it should have an underlying html code. You need to switch to view the html code, then copy the code and paste it in your reply. It should then be formatted properly.
I don’t recall seeing personal attacks on your character. Don’t let the “attacks” get you down. You always have to wear a flame-retardant suit if you post something, especially personal, on FR. Freepers are very passionate about their conservative beliefs. In the end, if you can’t take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
One, I havent been able to figure out how to replicate the formatting/hyperlinks.
Not really interested in your blog or discourse with HG but to post the code is very simple.
Go to the page on your blog that contains the article, ie: http://principlesandpolicy.wordpress.com/2012/08/02/a-plea-to-my-fellow-conservatives-forget-about-chick-fil-a/ .., right click and select ‘view source’. That page will give you the entire code for that page. Scroll down to the part you want to copy for posting purposes, highlight and copy. Then go to FR and paste that into the posting section.
In the case of this article it would begin at line #111 and end with line #127.
Good luck.
