Not the best site in the world, but this was hidden in the news last week in articles about the boy scouts holding the line.
Mitt’s spokesman came out and said Mitt’s views remain the same as ever.
Gays in boys scouts can be part of his campaign, but Chick-fil-A can not!
Is that weird or what!
Typical.
If he wins, a lot of folks will have to pretend to be surprised when he jumps out of the cake.
Buried in that article was the above quote:
In contrast to Obama, Republican candidate Mitt Romney does have a public position on the Scouts' policy he politely disagrees with it.Back in 1994, during a political debate in Massachusetts, Romney said this: "I support the right of the Boy Scouts of America to decide what it wants to do on that issue. I feel that all people should be able to participate in the Boy Scouts regardless of their sexual orientation. http://www.chron.com/living/article/As-Eagle-Scouts-return-medals-gay-ban-still-firm-3763862.php"
A Romney spokeswoman, Andrea Saul, said in an e-mail that this remains Romney's position today.
