I'm not sure if boycotts actually work, but this sounds like a good movie to boycott. Most boycotts involve controversial issues in the movie. But I don't think anyone would support the idea that hitting babies is acceptable behavior. I stopped watching new "comedy" movies years ago because most of them are dumb rather than funny. I think audiences laugh at the dumb actors rather than what they are doing.

I don't see any movies featuring Will Ferrell. He's the world's unfunniest actor.

This looks like a good movie. Does the guy know that the punch was a fake out? Does he know how to have even a little bit of sense of humor. This is what the liberals have resorted everyone to end up being.....very serious. You can absolutely not laugh at anything anymore. Such a sad state.

Politicians are doing worse to children than punching babies.

The punch happens off camera too... time to lighten up.

I agree too that he is overrated.

Why stop at a boycott? I suggest we dynamite the entire theater complex and sow the ruined ground with salt.

I’m pretty sure the Three Stooges had bits that included slap schtick and babies. This is nothing new; I doubt folks will watch this then go find a baby to slug.

Don’t forget W.C. Fields and his battles with ‘Baby Leroy”.

Funnier than you can imagine.

When I was in college over 25 years ago, a professor announced to his class that he would be screening the movie A Clockwork Orange to compliment our reading of the novel. A fellow student, a young woman, went literally bananas. Her charge was that the movie made "light of rape."

As the day of the screening approached, she repeated this charge to every one she met. She was incredulous that this film was going to be exhibited at a liberal arts college.

No one shared her outrage.

She eventually dropped the class and transferred to another college.

The delusion that the U.S. Constitution enshrines a “Right Not To Be Offended” is sadly not restricted to liberals.

Good grief. You must be pretty sensitive. That’s an awfully flimsy reason to boycott.

“No babies were punched in the making of this movie.”

This is stoooopid.... it’s comedy. Funny things happening to babies in a bad way(againn in a comedic way) in movies have been done for decades.

The next funny thing he does will be his first.

No kidding. As far as people not going to see Ferrell's movies, doesn't that already happen?

Jeez, lighten up. I don’t plan to see the movie, but that part of the trailer was actually funny. There’s a part afterward where the politician (Ferrell) is complaining about how everybody’s all concerned about the baby but nobody cares about the damage ‘that baby’s iron jaw’ did to his hand.

In any case, it’s not remotely in the same universe as child abuse. It’s just slapstick farce.

Normal people won’t but what about those who aren’t normal. I can recall children admitting to acts of violence against other children just to see what it is like.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that people aren’t concerned about violence against children. Our society allows doctors to murder babies everyday.

I got news for you, if someone is to be inspired to hit children because they watched this movie, then they were inclined to do so before. No one is advocating violence against children, seems you are looking way to deeply into this.

I have seen that movie. Not only does it not “make light of rape”, it was one of the most horrifying scenes that I have ever seen. I tried to leave the theatre, but an usher stopped me at the door and begged me to stay. I stayed, but have never forgotten.
